The University of California, Irvine is located in Orange County, situated on over 1,000 acres of coastal foothills and close to surfing beaches, hiking trails, desert camping, mountain resorts, and the attractions of Southern California. Irvine consistently ranks as one of the safest cities in America. The core campus is centered around Aldrich Park, a concentric circle with academic buildings at the exterior surrounding lawns, trees and green foliage. Our laboratory is on the School of Medicine campus in Irvine Hall.

Postdoctoral candidates should have excellent first-author publications and a Ph.D. in biophysics, physics, chemistry, biochemistry, computer science, or related field. Expertise in scientific programming and mathematical foundations will be an asset but not required. Candidates nearing the end of their Ph.D. with submitted papers will also be considered.
