Daniel Santos

Undergraduate Researcher

University of California, Irvine

Daniel Santos is a third year student studying biology and is particularly interested in fusing computational structural biology, statistical mechanics, and machine learning to accelerate our understanding of dynamical biological and pharmacological interactions. Currently, he is studying the conformational dynamics of interactions between host dependency factors and the HIV-1 capsid, and is also studying the conformational dynamics involved in HIV-1 capsid self-assembly. When he is not at the lab, you can find him enjoying new coffee shops, or going to concerts with friends.
